Laboratory Introduction

The Smart Structures and Composites Lab is a laboratory that conducts research on multi-functional composite materials under the guidance of Professor Chun-Gon Kim. Major research areas include fiber optic sensor system construction and health monitoring algorithm development, electromagnetic wave absorbing structure research for stealth aircraft application, space environment resistance in low-Earth orbit environments, space debris shielding and cosmic radiation shielding structure, and load-bearing batteries.
