KAIST AE’s Strength

KAIST AE has fostered global leaders since its foundation in 1979. Since then, KAST AE has been playing a pivotal role in the aerospace field. We are providing the highest level of aerospace education. The undergraduate students are learning both theoretical knowledge and we have been providing the highest level of aerospace education.

KAIST AE has been recognized as one of the best aerospace departments in Asia. We have maintained top-20 rank in QS World University Rankings for decades. The success of LINK CubeSat received attention as the first successful CubeSat in Korea, and we are developing the first university-driven small rockets.

Also, KAIST AE locates in Daedeok Research Complex, the fact which provides our students with rich internship…We actively collaborate with numerous nearby research institutes. The career path of Alumni

KAIST AE Alumni continue their R&D careers in various national research institutes and private companies such as ADD, KARI, KAI, Hanwha, LIG NexOne, and Korean Air. They are playing a pivotal role in national and international research and development projects. Also, KAIST AE has produced numerous professors working in world-renowned universities, including Caltech, Purdue, Cranfield, KAIST, and UNIST, and has made several start-ups such as Nearthlab, Jobis, Perigee, and Perigee Aerospace.
