Aerospace is a playground where young people can challenge themselves with big dreams.
The global market for aerospace is expected to exceed $1 trillion in 2040,
and it will be one of the next-generation growth engines in Korea.
Since its establishment in 1979, the Department of Aerospace Engineering at KAIST (KAIST AE) has educated more than 490 B.S. graduates and about 1,800 higher degree (M.S./Ph.D.) graduates.
We are proud of their central roles and the exceptional achievements in various aerospace academia, industry, as well as national labs.
We have offered education of the utmost quality, which is carefully designed to teach a balanced/fundamental understanding of physical principles, system-oriented design & laboratory experiences, and collaboration/communication skills.
On behalf of our faculty, staff, and students, I would like to express the deepest appreciation to all the supporters.
We will work harder to make our department one of global top-tier academic and research departments in the field of aerospace engineering.
